Great Experiential Post on Starting an Agile Release Train
Posted on June 22, 2012 by Dean Leffingwell in Australia Case Study, Case StudiesOur colleague, Mark Richards, a recently certified Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant (gosh, it was fun to say that) from Melbourne Australia, recently posted his experiences in launching an Agile Release Train with his large client. In his post Agile Leadership and Learning by Doing , Mark describes his short sprint-by-sprint approach to working with the management team to plan for the first Train. He also notes that engaging the managers in sprinting towards the goal of launching the train gave them a better understanding of the basic agile paradigm than all the discussions and briefings that had been used to date.
Once again we are reminded that the enterprise can be no leaner or more agile than our leaders and managers thinking.
