Feature vs. Component Teams: Another Perspective
Posted on August 20, 2009 by Dean Leffingwell in Distrib. Development, Feature Vs Component TeamsHiren Doshi is doing a good job of describing various considerations around the feature vs. component teams discussion and on the practical application of the three tier Big Picture model for larger and distributed enterprises, at his blog at www.practiceagile.com. His ongoing, experience-based perspective is lucid and practical so I’ve added his blog to the blogroll. Hi,
Interesting thoughts on feature versus components, what I am looking for is to better understand how for example 5 to 10 feature teams can be kept in sync best?
Jos,
For that we have the agile release train, and it’s heartbeat, rolling wave planning.

Hi Jos,
You might want to read this blog of mine. I am writing about how to manage 5 to 6 component teams in sync. If you can manage component teams managing features teams should be easy. Hope this helps. Please feel free to send me email, if I can help.
